Metagaming, Meta-Gaming, or just "Meta" is information that your character uses that should or would not have access to normally. Here are some examples of MetaGaming:
- Using a PlayerID number to identify a player by name.
- Using a PlayerID overhead to locate a player hiding in a bush when you cannot physically see them.
- Utilizing "Player Blips" to locate players inside the game.
- Using knowledge of another character you play to influence decisions that your character should not have knowledge of.
- Relaying information via 3rd party chat program while your character is handcuffed or otherwise incapacitated.
